KAJIAN SEBARAN LOGAM BERAT Pb PADA SEDIMEN DI MUARA SUNGAI WAY KUALA BANDAR LAMPUNG

Abstract

We have conducted  distribution of  heavy metals of Pb and Cd in the sediment Way Kuala Estuary Bandar Lampung.  Concentration Pb and Cd determined using atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS) GBC X 200 by using the four validation methods, limit of detection , precision, accuracy  and linearity.The results showed that the concentration of heavy metals Pb in sediments in the upper course and body of the Way Kuala estuary, respectively 153.94 ± 5.31 ppm and 152,21 ± 2,74 ppm remained in the range of sediment quality standards (47.82 to 161.06 ppm) set by the National Sediment Quality Survey USEPA (2004).  Concentrations of heavy metals Pb in sediment in the downstream of the Way Kuala Estuary is 188.38 ± 0.65 ppm above the sediment quality standards (from 47.82 to 161.06 ppm) set by the National Sediment Quality Survey USEPA (2004). Validation method on the determination of heavy metals Pb in sediments showed precision with RSD values <5%; Accuracy 80-120%; limit of detection and correlation coefficients for each of the metals Pb and Cd are 0.53 and 0.01.
