ANALISIS PERSAMAAN DIFUSI RUANG-WAKTU SILINDER 1-DIMENSI PADA KECELAKAAN REAKTOR UTOP (UNPROTECTED TRANSIENT OVER POWER) UNTUK JENIS REAKTOR CEPAT

Abstract


The accident analysis of space-time diffusion 1-dimension cylinder equation on reactor UTOP accident for fast reactor type has been performed. The solution of space-time diffusion equation was done by direct method. The result obtained compared to the result obtained by adiabatic method and spot kinetic. Case 1 was accident case with constant reactivity input. Case 2 was accident case with ramp input. For relatively small reactivity input, the relative power peak from adiabatic method was higher than the direct method. This is because the adiabatic method do not consider delay neutron factor, so all neutrons produced was assumed as fast neutron which can produce fission reaction. On the other hand, if the reactivity input is relatively large, the power peak produced by direct method was higher than that of adiabatic method. This is caused by dominant spatial factor. The result of spot kinetic was always produced the lowest peak due to flux distribution during the accident was not changed.
