ANALISIS SPEKTRUM FREKUENSI BUNYI DARI BERAGAM DAGING BUAH DENGAN BERBAGAI TINGKAT KEMATANGAN BERBASIS KOMPUTER
An experimental system was built to detect signal frequency of fruit pulp with different fruit ripeness. The system setup consisted of a simple pendulum, PVC pipe with fruit pulp inside it, dynamic microphone and soundcard (computer). The frequency of fruit pulp gets from the sound wave that recorded by soundcard PC when the ball pendulum hits PVC pipe and then it processed by fast Fourier transform. After that, the dominant frequency of fruit pulp was applied to compute firmness index and Young’s modulus.As a result of research, it was shown that fruit pulp of a watermelon, a banana and a papaya with different ripeness have different range dominant frequency, different firmness index and different Young’s modulus. Dominant frequency decreased with increasing fruit ripeness, firmness index decreased with increasing fruit ripeness, and Young’s modulus decreased with increasing fruit ripeness.
