ANALISIS RESOLUSI SENSOR TEMPERATUR TERINTEGRASI IC LM35 DAN SENSOR THERMISTOR

Abstract


Resolution of sensor is one of many principal characteristics for determining the quality of sensors. More high resolution of sensor, the range of its utilization will be limited. The sensor resolution dependent also on its linearity response to physics parameter captured. The goal of this research is to compare and to analyse the resolution between integrated temperature sensor (IC LM35) and thermistor. The results show that the resolution of IC LM35 sensor is about 0.01 V/ oC with the offset value 0.042 Volt caused by incorrectness of power supply system. The NTC and PTC thermistors characterized in 27 – 95 oC by using push full Wheatstone Bridge circuit give the exponential transfer function  with the correlation coefficient R2 = 0.811. For the temperature ranged from 75 oC to 95oC, thermistors give the linear and sensitive responds with the   transfer function y=0.057x-3.96  and the correlation coefficient R2 = 0.958. Using this results, for the temperature utilization ranged from 75 oC to 95oC, the thermistors arranged by push full Wheatstone Bridge circuit model give the 5 times resolution more than IC LM35.
