A THIRD ORDER OF MODIFIED NEWTON’S METHOD
Abstract
We discuss a modified Newton’s method, by looking at an approximation error of a numerical approximation on an
integral, and propose a modification using midpoint rule. We show that the modification is of order three. Comparison
among the discussed methods is also given by considering computational costs.
