Peer Review Process

The manuscript that will be published in the Journal of Material, Instrumentation and Technology (JOMIT) undergoes a review process by the reviewer team and the editorial board. All review processes are carried out within a double-blind review framework. The Chief Editor handles all correspondence with the author and makes a final decision on whether the paper is recommended for editors. Then the editor makes a decision based on the reviewer's recommendation with several possibilities: rejected, major revision, minor revision, or accepted. The manuscript will be evaluated by two qualified peer reviewers selected by the Chief Editor. Usually within 3 weeks the Editor in Chief decides the acceptance or rejection of the paper.

Papers that require revision will be returned to the author, and the author must return the revised manuscript to the Editor in Chief through the OJS Journal of Material, Instrumentation and Technology (JOMIT). The Editor in Chief sent the revised manuscript to the Editorial Board to check whether the revised manuscript was as suggested by the reviewer team. The Editorial Board can provide recommendations to the Editor in Chief that the manuscript must be returned to the author, accepted, or rejected within 1 week. The Chief Editor will send a letter of acceptance announcing the issue of the publication attached to the reprint of the manuscript to the author.

Review Guidelines for Reviewers are presented in open text boxes such as FORM REVIEWER which will provide reviewers with criteria for assessing the suitability of articles to be published in a journal, and can include specific instructions for preparing effective and useful reviews.
